Helios Daughter Boards

Ground Based Vehicle Board

The Ground Based Vehicle (GBV) board is intended for use with autonomous vehicles based on 1/10 or 1/12 scale R/C car components. It mounts directly onto Helios and includes all the necessary connectors for electronic speed control and servo control. It also includes headers for wireless communication, an electronic compass, and two cameras. The features are outlined in detail below.

MT9V111 Sensor Board

The MT9V111 sensor board is a very small board for mounting the Micron MT9V111 image sensor and connecting it to other Helios daughter boards. It uses FFC (flat flexible cable) and FPC (flat printed cable) connectors and cables, allowing for a very small 4 cm package.

Custom Daughter Boards

A custom daughter board can be developed for Helios using off-the-shelf parts and a custom PCB. See the Helios schematic for pin-out information, or see the GBV Board schematic and layout for a reference design.
