Educational Objectives
MS Degree
- Apply knowledge in service to community and family and engage in
lifelong learning through personal study and continuing education.
- Obtain industry employment appropriate for the M.S. degree, engage in
technology-based entrepreneurship, or complete further graduate study.
- Provide a supporting role in research leading to significant
contributions to engineering and technology; serve in responsible positions of
technical leadership.
- Be examples of faith, character, lifelong learning, service to the
community, and high professional ethics.
PhD Degree
- Apply knowledge in service to community and family and engage in
lifelong learning through personal study and continuing education.
- Obtain employment in positions that utilize PhD level training including
academic faculty positions, post-doctoral research positions, and researchers
within industrial or government laboratories.
- Make significant contributions to engineering and technology; serve in
responsible positions of technical leadership.
- Be examples of faith, character, and high professional ethics.
Learning Outcomes
MS Degree
- Ability to communicate difficult technical concepts both orally and in
writing.
- Understanding of fundamental concepts in a broad range of Electrical and
Computer Engineering topics.
- Ability to contribute to peer-reviewed scholarship.
- Ability to participate in mentored research experiences.
PhD Degree
- Ability to communicate difficult technical concepts both orally and in
writing.
- Ability to teach difficult concepts to students.
- Mastery of fundamental concepts in Electrical and Computer
Engineering.
- Ability to conduct independent research.
- Ability to disseminate research results through peer-review and
publication.
- Ability to mentor other students in directed research activities.
