Directions and Maps
Salt Lake Airport to BYU
(freeway map)
From the airport take I-80 eastbound to
the I-215 interchange.
Transfer to I-215 southbound toward Provo
and travel south to the I-15 interchange.
Transfer to I-15 southbound toward Provo and
travel for about 35 miles.
Exit east (toward mountains) on Exit 269
(University Parkway).

Follow University Parkway East to the BYU
campus (about 2 miles).
Turn right (southbound) onto University
Ave.
Turn left (eastbound) at the first light
onto Bulldog Ave.
Travel up the hill and through three
lights. Turn left (east) at the fourth
light.
The visitor parking lot will be on your
left, next to the (white) Law School
building [JRCB on map].

Walk west (away from montains) up the hill.
At the top of the hill where a drive
descends into an underground garage, turn
left.
The Clyde Building is the second building on
the right.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering
Department office is on the
fourth floor in room 459.
Prof. Beard's office is in room 450.
To the Magicc Lab (Campus map)
Walk west (away from mountains) up the hill.
At the top of the hill where a drive
descends into an underground garage, turn
left.
The Magicc Lab is in building B-34 which is the white metal building on the left.
The entrance to the Magicc Lab is on the South end of the building.
Note: BYU does not permit smoking
anywhere on campus. Coffee and tea are not
available on campus.
Provo is located in 4200 ft Utah Valley
and just less than an hour south of
Salt Lake City in the
State of Utah and enjoys a small town
atmosphere with 105,000 residents, a nice
business community, and two large
universities. The 11,750 foot Mount
Timpanogas dominates the skyline north of
the city and the 23 mile long Utah Lake is
just to the west. There are numerous
hotels in Provo which are convenient to
the BYU campus. The
international airport in Salt Lake City
is the closest major airport to Provo and
BYU. It is a major hub for
Delta and
Southwest airlines. You can either rent
a car at the airport or take the
Rocky Mountain Super Express shuttle
service to Provo. The shuttle service can
drop you off at your hotel or at the BYU
Wilkinson Center.

Winter: average highs are in the 40's.
Provo is in a large mountain valley at an
altitude of approximately 4500 feet.

Valley, Brighton, and Solitude.
